Butterfly Motion

Influenced by Aboriginal art of Australia and the woodblock prints of the 60's and 70's, I wanted to capture energy in motion. I'm also inspired by the idea that everything is vibration.

From Center

If I follow my intincts they eminate from the core and that is what inspired this painting. It was also a time of integration and ideas burting forth.

Beginnings

Since June zipped by without the completion of the current painting, I decided to post some oldies. These are from an abstract series done in 2004 where I began to paint from intuition. It dawned on me later that this was a personal mandala and the embryotic center represented a new way of creating.

Now I'm trying to balance composition and value while using Greg Albert's #1 rule of composition: Never make any 2 intervals the same. Easy to remember.
