Another 8"x12" watercolor for the new year.

Blue Moon

This is another 8"x12" mixed watermedia with an emphasis on color.

Winter Oranges

In this 8"x12" watercolor I layered washes and splattered paint. It seems like vibrant, warm colors are useful in winter.  It was also inspired by the Solstice.

Violet Salvia

This is an 8"X10" watercolor of a Salvia plant using 4 colors. 

Kite Tetrad #2

This is an exercise working with the colors: red orange, yellow green, blue green and blue violet on the color wheel. When you draw lines connecting the four colors on the wheel, it forms a kite. 

Arches Lone Tree

The work has stalled out, but I am searching for answers to problems. New favorite book: Watercolor Mixing: the 12-Hue Method by Christopher Willard.
